Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe, born 26 August 2002, is an American musician and singer. The rapper gained fame with the release of his single from 2019 "Ransom", which was a top 4 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The mixtape he released as his debut We Love You Tecca (2019) included the track. It reached number 4 in the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also included the two singles "Love Me" and "Did It Again". His debut album, Virgo world (2020) was released on the Billboard 200 at number 10. It contained the Billboard Hot 100 chart-charting songs "Dolly", as well as "When You Down". His follow-up mixtape, called We Love You Tecca 2, was released in August 2021 . It included "Repeat It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe is a Jamaican immigrants, was born in Queens on August 26, 2002. He was raised in the Springfield Gardens a neighborhood of Queens however, he later moved to Cedarhurst in Long Island. From an early age, Sharpe had aspirations of being a part of the NBA, but around 12 years of age, he turned his attention to pursuing a career in music. He completed his studies at Lawrence High School. Tecca was nine years old age when he started rapping over his Xbox. One of their diss tracks was uploaded to SoundCloud some time ago, but it was removed. In the early years of his life that he wasn't making any plans of making music a living and instead envisioned becoming an NBA superstar. Through his middle school years however, he began to become bored with basketball and took music seriously. The first track that gained some popularity, "Tectri", was recorded in collaboration with his friend, Lil Gummybear, and it was released in the early part of 2017. The artist also dropped "Callin" which was another one of his first songs. The following year his career was beginning to take off by releasing his smash single "Ransom" The track was released on Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22 in 2019. The song climbed to number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track has been a hit with more than 990 million Spotify plays and has more than 300 million YouTube views.
